I've heard a few times over the course of the season that 2015 is the year of Downhill, and Mike Girard himself said that in 2k15 everything is serious. But the reality of it is, lots of longboarders are looking to street boards to get their fix lately. Perhaps tired of being told to "Do a kickflip!", skaters everywhere are taking to the city streets to learn to do just that. Blood Orange noticed this trend and saw a gap in the wheel market- Street wheels formulated and poured by well-rounded skaters. There are lots of options out there for street wheels, but it's primarily a market geared towards die-hard street rats. Blood Orange went back to the drawing board to make sure anyone who wanted to pop some tricks was covered, and appeal to those hardcore kids as well.

The BO hard wheels are made like a classic street wheel- no core, fillers, or gimmicks. But the urethane is developed to be faster and more reliable, with more pop, a smoother slide, and even the right look and sound. They're inherently free-ridable, while still great for learning and slashing street terrain. They don't hook up on ledges or rails, or flatspot easily, or snag on small cracks and rocks.
